This graduate program examines the legal regime governing carriage by air of passengers, baggage, and cargo. It also provides students with opportunities to study a range of select topics related to aviation law. Topics covered in the program include the role of the International Civil Aviation Organization and the establishment of a regulatory framework; the resolution of inter-governmental aviation disputes; air carriers’ liability for passengers, baggage, and cargo, which includes instances of air rage and DVT litigation; aviation security; air carrier liability for surface damage; and finally, intercarrier agreements such as Montreal Intercarrier Convention.
